Namme: Siette Vriesema

Ik bin in soan fan: Wieger en Aafke Vriesema. Ik ha oan de Van Haersma-strjitte wenne by myn âlden en myn bruorren en suster Luts, Roel en Henk. Letter ferhuzen Wieger en Aafke nei in oar nij hûs njonken de bakkerij Wouda oan de Doarpstrjitte.

Hoe âld binne jo? Wat stelle jimme der spesjale fragen. Is dat sa belangryk? Nou ja, goed, ik fiel my noch altiten as in jonge man fan 76 jier âld.

Binne jo troud? Ja, dat kloppet. Mar ik bin ek skieden. Ik wenne mei myn earste frou as learaar basisskoalle yn Kornhorn. Wy hawwe 2 soannen krigen. De âldste wennet no yn Noard-Dútslân. De jongste is piloat by KLM en is oer de hiele wrâld te finen.

Wat hawwe jo dien? Nei myn perioade yn Kornhorn krige ik wurk op de basisskoalle yn Beetstersweach. Dochs ha ik op in gegeven momint it ûnderwiis ferlitten. Ik bin selsstannich ûndernimmer wurden yn de feefoerhannel. Dat wol sizze in gruthannel nei de ferskate foerhannelers yn de doarpen. Ik wenne doe yn Lippenhuzen. Ik bin dêr ek skieden, mar de beide soannen bleaunen by my wenjen.
Ik bin 16 jier lyn wer troud mei in frou út Antwerpen. Der komme echt noflike minsken wei, krekt as myn Annie!

Wêr wenje jo no? Ik wenje no yn Frankryk, tichtby de kust. It is in prachtich kustgebiet hjir by Perros Guirec. En fansels bin ik no mei pensjoen. Ik fyn it hjir echt moai, mar ik tink ek dat it in grut foardiel is dat it hjir ek in stik stiller as yn it drokke Nederlân.

Wat binne jo moaiste herinneringen oan Surhuzum? In hiel moai oantinken is brassband “Excelsior”. Ik spile der in protte jierren mei, joech konserten, ensfh. Myn pake Roel Hoekstra en syn hiele famylje diene ek mei, lykas syn bern Hendrik, Sjoerd en Tollie. Mar ja, de tiid giet troch en de neamde minsken binne allegearre al ferstoarn. Yn Koartwâld wennen Roel en Lutske Hoekstra. Yn ’e maitiid gong ik mei “pake Roel” gauris op syk nei ljip-aaien. En yn de hjerst wie ik fansels altiten mei de jachtgroep op de omlizzende fjilden fan Surhuzum op jacht. Oan it ein fan’e sneontemiddei wie der fansels altyd in drankje yn it kafee oan it Sûd. Wat foar my yn Surhuzum ek in moai punt wie, is dat ik altyd mei in pear freonen (Piet Bouma en Jan Lettinga) nei it kanaal gie om simmerdeis te swimmen. As der dan in (folladen) boat kaam, klommen wy der op. De trúk wie dat de boat rjocht nei dy ta kaam en dan koest der fan de kant op klimme. By de slûzen fan Gaarkeuken koene je dan oerstappe op in lege boat dy’t heech op it wetter lei. By Blauferlaat sprongen wy fan dy hege boat wer it wetter yn! Ja, en fansels wolle jo wille hawwe yn jo jeugd. Mei in groepke jonges (wêrûnder Jelle de Vries bygelyks) ha wy jûns faak efkes op besite west by Epke Bouma yn de skuorre efter it molkboerhûs oan de Bartemerwei. Fansels hie elkenien in bierke.
