Grutto en kievit kijken in de Surhuizumermieden

Er zijn plekken waar weidevogels leven, al gaat het in algemene zin niet goed met weidevogels. Rond Surhuizum ligt echter een pareltje, waar ze nog volop te bewonderen zijn. Daar kan men genieten van de roep van o.a. de grutto, de kievit en de scholekster.  

IVN Westerkwartier e.o. (voor natuur en educatie) organiseert op zondag 27 april 2025 een wandeling naar dit unieke weidevogelgebied aan de Heawei in de Surhuizumermieden.

De start is om 14.00 uur bij de Vogelkijkhut Surhuizumermieden.
Langs de weg kan worden geparkeerd bij de kruising Oude vaart - Heawei Surhuizum.
Bezoekers worden verzocht zodanig te parkeren, dat er nog verkeer langs kan.

Advies is om een verrekijker mee te nemen. Eventueel heeft de organisatie ook enkele beschikbaar.
Men hoopt uiteraard op een enerverende middag.

Voor IVN-leden, kinderen en jongeren tot 18 jaar is het gratis gratis.
